Estrogen Blockers for Men - Manifestation and Side-effects Abstract

Many natural estrogen blockers include aromatase inhibitorsthat block the activity of the enzyme aromatase, which converts androgensinto estrogen. They are primarilyused in postmenopausal women since their ovaries produce too much aromatasefor inhibitors to block it effectively. These inhibitors don't preventthe ovaries from making estrogen. They simplylower estrogen levels in women whose ovariesaren't making estrogen.

Many  natural estrogen blockers include aromatase inhibitors that block  the activity of the enzyme aromatase, which converts androgens into estrogen. They are primarily used in postmenopausal women since their ovaries produce  too much aromatase for inhibitors to block it effectively. These inhibitors don't  prevent the ovaries from making estrogen. They simply lower estrogen levels in women whose ovaries aren't  making estrogen.  Why Use Estrogen Blockers?  Estrogen  blockers are principally used to prevent some cancer cells from growing  and are used to treat  receptor-positive breast cancer. They are continually being studied for their effectiveness to lower initial  breast cancer risk as well as the risk for  other types of cancer, and estrogen blockers can also be used to prevent disorders from consistently high estrogen levels.    Food and herbs  have been used  for centuries to help .

·       Grape seed extract. Grape seed extract contains high concentrations of flavonoids that have been proven to be potent inhibitors of aromatase. For this reason,it is especially noted for use in post menopausal women with a high risk for contracting breast cancer. Flaxseed.Flax is known for its lignan, α-linolenic acid, and fiber content, components that may possess Phyto-estrogenic,anti-inflammatory, and hormone-modulating effects, respectively. Current evidence suggests that flax - a class of lignans - may be associated with a decreased risk of breast cancer  can significantly decrease the growth of carcinogenic cells. Even though this class of phytoestrogens are acclaimed to raise estrogen levels, they can also inhibit estrogenic activity in cells. It is important to note that although natural estrogen blockers are healthier, not all of them are scientifically proven. Because each individual will react to estrogen blockersdifferently, it is difficult to promise efficacy. Also, naturalestrogen blockers have no effect on xenoestrogens. Xenoestrogens are ingested on a daily basis and must, therefore, be flushed out on a daily basis. This is can be done naturally with detoxifying foods, herbs, and supplements.

Helps in libido, erectile function, and sperm formation. As age advances, cascading events occur due to a  decrease in the testosterone  levels in the male body, which ultimately gives  rise to increased estrogen levels. The imbalance between estrogen and testosterone levels in men poses a great  risk for several health issues. What Are the Manifestations of Estrogen-Testosterone Imbalance in Men?  The signs and  symptoms of estrogen-testosterone imbalance in men are:  Infertility. Mood swings. Low sex drive.  Decreased muscle mass and energy. Increased water retention.  Fatigue. Hot flashes.  Increased belly fat. Erectile dysfunction. Reduced  testicle size. Irritability.  Depression.  Gynecomastia (increased breast growth in men). Low-energy fractures (bone fractures occurring from a  low height, like a standing height or less).

Chrysin: It is one of the flavonoids found in several  herbs, such as bee propolis and  passionflower, and honey. It has the ability to increase testosterone levels and block  estrogen in the body.  Saw Palmetto: It is one among the widely used herbs employed in maintaining normal hormone  levels in men. It diminishes the  amount of 5α-reductase in the body and prevents  the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone  (DHT), which ultimately improves prostate  issues like benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer. Such problems are usually seen  in patients affected by estrogen  dominance, particularly the elderly.  Maca: It is a cruciferous plant enriched with plenty of  health gains, including better fertile health. It produces anti-estrogen effects by decreasing the transformation of testosterone. It also possesses several nutrients that  aid in regulating the male endocrine and immune systems. Wild Nettle Root: It is another option for natural  medications for treating prostate  problems. Nettle root comprises substances  that obstruct testosterone conversion into  estradiol and also help in managing its production in the body. It is especially beneficial in  patients with estrogen dominance.

Cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, bok choy,  broccoli, and brussels sprouts. Radish. Mushrooms. Curcumin.  Parsley. Hot peppers.Tangerines and oranges. Pomegranate and its juice.  Do Estrogen Blockers Have Any Side  Effects?  Estrogen blockers are only used temporarily as  off-label drugs in men with low  testosterone concentration but are well-tolerated.  However, their utilization in men lacks established guidelines, and more longitudinal studies are  required to know their efficacy and safety. Their  reported side effects are:
