1. About the Indian Board of Sexology
The Indian Board of Sexology Educational Trust invites eligible medical professionals and other appropriately qualified practitioners, subject to the Trust's approved membership criteria, to apply for On-Panel Membership.
The initiative aims to encourage professional interaction, promote scientific understanding of human sexuality, strengthen sexual health education, and support ethical, confidential and patient-centred approaches to sexual medicine and psychosexual counselling.
The initiative recognises the importance of sexual health as an integral component of overall health, interpersonal relationships, emotional well-being and quality of life.
2. Objectives of On-Panel Membership
The proposed membership initiative aims to:

Promote awareness of evidence-based sexual medicine and reproductive health.
•
Encourage professional education in clinical sexology and psychosexual counselling.
•
Facilitate knowledge-sharing among eligible healthcare professionals.
•
Promote ethical, confidential and non-discriminatory sexual healthcare.
•
Encourage participation in academic programmes, seminars, conferences and professional discussions.
•
Support public education on sexual health, relationship well-being and the prevention of sexual health problems.
•
Encourage appropriate referral and collaboration among qualified professionals.
•
Promote continuing professional development and responsible clinical practice.
3. Who May Apply?
Applications may be invited from eligible professionals according to the membership categories and eligibility rules approved by the Trust, including:
A. Medical Professionals
•
MBBS-qualified doctors & post Graduates.
•
Doctors holding postgraduate medical qualifications.
•
Specialists in relevant clinical disciplines, including psychiatry, urology, gynaecology, endocrinology and other related fields.
•
Medical practitioners with recognised qualifications and training in sexual medicine or clinical sexology.
B. Allied and Mental Healthcare Professionals
•
Appropriately qualified psychologists and counselling professionals.
•
Qualified mental healthcare practitioners working within their authorised professional scope.
•
Academicians and educators involved in recognised sexual health education.
Applicants must provide genuine qualifications and any registration details required for their professional category. Clinical membership or panel eligibility does not independently confer a medical qualification, specialist registration or additional statutory licence.
4. Benefits of On-Panel Membership
Subject to the Trust's approved membership policy, membership may provide access to the following professional opportunities:
1. Professional Association
Opportunity to be associated with the educational and professional activities of the Indian Board of Sexology Educational Trust.
2. Membership Certificate
Issue of a membership certificate after application review, acceptance and payment of the applicable fee.
3. Professional Directory Listing
Eligible members may be considered for inclusion in the Board's official professional directory or panel, subject to verification, consent and the Trust's listing policy.
4. Academic Activities
Opportunities to participate in relevant educational programmes, scientific discussions, workshops, seminars and conferences organised by the Trust or its authorised academic partners.
5. Continuing Professional Development
Access to selected learning activities and educational resources, as offered under the applicable membership category.
6. Knowledge-Sharing Opportunities
Opportunities to exchange professional knowledge and discuss developments in sexual medicine, psychosexual counselling, relationship health and sexual health education.
7. Professional Networking
An opportunity to interact with eligible professionals and educators working in related areas of healthcare and education.
8. Educational Collaboration
Eligible members may be considered for participation in approved educational initiatives, awareness programmes and collaborative academic activities.
9. Member Communications
Receipt of membership-related announcements, programme updates and invitations, subject to communication preferences and applicable policies.
10. Recognition of Participation
Certificates of attendance or participation may be issued for specific programmes where the applicable requirements have been fulfilled. Such certificates are distinct from specialist qualifications or statutory professional credentials.
5. Membership Fee
One-Time Enrolment Fee: ₹9,999/-
The fee is proposed to cover membership processing and the benefits expressly included in the approved membership package.
Before enrolment, applicants should receive written confirmation of:

The applicable membership category.
•
Membership duration and renewal requirements, if any.
•
Whether the fee is one-time or subject to renewal.
•
Certificate issuance and panel-listing conditions.
•
Any additional charges for conferences, workshops, examinations, publications or other optional services.
•
The cancellation, withdrawal and refund policy.
No additional benefits, accreditation, clinical privileges or financial returns are implied unless specifically documented and authorised.
6. Application and Enrolment Procedure
Step 1: Submit the Application
Complete the prescribed membership application form with accurate personal, educational and professional details.
Step 2: Submit Documents
Provide copies of the relevant degree certificates, professional registration, identity documentation and other information reasonably required for verification.
Step 3: Verification
The authorised membership committee will review the application and verify eligibility according to the Trust's approved rules.
Step 4: Fee Payment
Applicants whose category and fee have been confirmed may pay the prescribed ₹9,999 enrolment fee through the Trust's officially designated payment channel and obtain a receipt.
Step 5: Membership Approval
Membership will be confirmed only after the application has been approved and the applicable requirements have been fulfilled.
Step 6: Certificate and Panel Listing
The membership certificate and any approved panel listing will be issued after completion of the prescribed process.
7. Code of Professional Conduct
Every member is expected to:

Maintain professional integrity and respect patient confidentiality.
•
Practise only within their qualifications, registration and lawful scope of practice.
•
Follow applicable clinical, ethical and data-protection requirements.
•
Obtain informed consent wherever required.
•
Avoid misleading advertisements, unsupported claims and guaranteed treatment outcomes.
•
Respect the dignity, privacy and autonomy of patients and clients.
•
Refer cases to appropriate specialists whenever clinically indicated.
•
Use the Board's name, logo and membership designation only in the manner authorised by the Trust.
8. Important Clarifications
On-Panel Membership is a professional association and educational membership initiative. It must not be represented as a government licence, statutory medical registration, university degree, specialist qualification, or government accreditation unless such status has been separately and validly granted by the competent authority.
Membership alone does not authorise a person to practise medicine, prescribe treatment, use a protected professional title or undertake clinical activities beyond their legal scope.
Any use of the terms recognised, accredited, certified specialist or authorised clinical panel must be supported by the relevant documentary authority.
